The book opens up with the Santiago Brothers, Javier and Xander, our male protagonists attempting to scene in a BDSM club called Dominion, which pops up every so often in Black’s work. The first book of this series, Wicked Ties, was my introduction to erotica and the writing gives me a sense of nostalgia and familiarity.
I have read a majority of the series but its not necessarily because I continue to find her works good. For those not familiar with the Wicked Lovers series, they are stand alone books that reference and have cameos from previous books but for the most part can be read out of order and even by themselves a lot of the time. Although it might seem weird to start off with this book, it is the most recent book I have read and comes to mind a bit easier than the others. Ours to Love is the seventh book in Shayla Black’s Wicked Lovers series. ((Warning this story focuses on a M/F/M relationship where the two males are brothers, there are instances of double penetration and some BDSM, if you don’t want to read about those things, skip this review.))
